Lorie and Azul
Lorie grew up on a farm in Chico, Texas and always knew she wanted to work with animals. In 1998, Lorie moved to Los Angeles, California and spent the next two years managing a doggie day-care center there.
After the owner sold the day-care business, Lorie started a pet sitting service called Mutts 'N Meows which she ran successfully for four years. Lorie also worked with Certified Paws in Los Angeles, California performing pet massage. In 2003 Lorie began an internship with My Best Friend Obedience, a dog obedience training school where she logged 90 hours in positive reinforcement clicker training.
In September of 2004 Lorie felt she needed a change and also wanted to be closer to her family so she moved back to Fort Worth, Texas.
In the summer of 2006 Lorie traveled back and forth to L.A. to intern with Shane Fox of The Tooth Fairy LLC. During her internship with Ms. Fox, Lorie learned anesthesia free teeth cleaning for pets.
Lorie loves working with animals and educating her clients on how to brush their teeth properly. Proper brushing strengthens the gums and prevents gingivitis and periodontal disease.
Lorie now resides in Fort Worth with her three dogs, one foster dog, two cats, two goats and her horse. Not only does Lorie own and operate The Texas Tooth Fairy LLC which services the Fort Worth, Dallas, Arlington, Mansfield, Grand Prairie, and surrounding metroplex cities, she also works full time as the office manager for a non-profit foster care agency for children. Lorie also is a foster parent for Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue.
