The Texas Tooth Fairy's Anesthesia Free Pet Teeth Cleaning

The Texas Tooth Fairy makes house calls.  During a house call Lorie plays classical music and spends time getting to know your pet before she begins the cleaning process. If the pet is a small dog or cat, Lorie wraps them gently in a towel to keep movement to a minimum.  The owner can stay in the room if it seems the pet is more comfortable that way.

Next, Lorie begins the cleaning process very slowly.  After the cleaning process Lorie polishes the teeth and disinfects the pet's mouth and gums.

Lorie only uses all natural cleaning products, no chemicals ... and a cleaning is never forced.

Animals feel more comfortable in their own home, but if the pet will not tolerate anesthesia-free teeth cleaning, they are referred to their veterinarian.

Anesthesia-free teeth cleaning is complimentary to the type of cleaning that is done in a veterinarians office, though it is more of an elaborate, yet humane way of cleaning teeth and less of a risk than using anesthesia.

It is recommended that you see your veterinarian for annual dental exams including x-rays.

Another issue for pets is bacteria in the mouth.  Keeping pets' teeth clean can help keep eyes, sinuses, skin and internal organs healthy.

It is recommended that small pets have their teeth cleaned approximately every six months and large dogs once per year.

Services do not include root-planning or extractions.  If Lorie feels either of these is necessary the pet guardian will be referred back to their veterinarian.
